Reflexology during Pregnancy
I wish I had known Reflexology is so helpful during pregnancy when I was expecting!
Ideally Reflexology should be started in the months prior to conception to aid balancing hormones and to assist ovulation using specific techniques.
During pregnancy Reflexology supports the mom to be as her body adapts to physical and hormonal changes. It can be effective to address digestive issues, nausea, improve sleep, diminish leg cramps, relieve swelling (edema), high blood pressure and mood changes.
Reflexology techniques aim to encourage and get the expectant mother’s body ready to deliver the baby in the most natural way possible.
In the postnatal stage Reflexology can help relieve constipation, postpartum depression, stimulate milk production, relieve back ache and help regulate sleep patterns.
